The Old Manor House Luxury B&B Nr Stratford Upon Avon

10 minutes from Stratford upon Avon and ideal for a theatre break and on the edge of the Cotswolds, the Old Manor House is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the village of Halford, this small manor house, dating back to the 16th Century is noted in Pevsner for its Tudor timber façade

The 3 acres of landscaped gardens stretching down to the River Stour offer a tranquil setting where guests can easily relax. The NEC and The Royal Show are within easy reach as are
Cheltenham Races.

Antiques and contemporary art sit comfortably together in the large elegant drawing room and dining room. Your hosts William and Jane Pusey have travelled widely: they love meeting their guests.

There are 3 pretty Bedrooms. The charming bedrooms are traditionally decorated and furnished. Each room has its own personal character.

  • 1 x Double Room with Private Bathroom

A private wing comprising of:

  • 1 x Twin/ Double with Private Bathroom
  • 1 x Single Room which is only used in conjunction with the Twin Room and shares the bathroom

The Old Manor is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Cheltenham Races or the N.E.C. The beamed hall with its flagstones are just some of the characteristics of this carefully restored 16th Century Manor House. The landscaped gardens with lovely terraces ideal for guests to sit at with their afternoon tea, or if they prefer they can picnic.

  • Taxi Service available, enabling guests to be collected from the station (Moreton in Marsh or Stratford upon Avon)

Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, there is a huge selection of well known villages, countryside and activities to explore in this area of outstanding beauty.
Chipping Campden; here you can visit not only this unspoilt Cotswolds town, but take a walk, perhaps starting from the town or from Dovers Hill which is on the outskirts of Chipping Campden

Here are a few famous Cotswolds towns;

  • Stow on the Wold hosting high quality antique showrooms, superb restaurants and a lovely old Market Square
  • Bourton on the Water famous for its Miniature Village
  • The Slaughters, Bibury Burford, Cirencester
  • Cheltenham The Home of National Hunt Racing just 45 minutes away
  • Warwick famous for its Castle and Racing just 20 minutes away
  • Stratford upon Avon home of the RSC and only 10 minutes away. There is some excellent racing here too
  • Woodstock a lovely trip here en route to Oxford where one can stop and take in one of Britain's most beautiful stately homes... Blenheim Palace
  • Compton Verney. Art Gallery owned by The Moore Foundation. Recent exhibitions include Van Gogh,only 10 minutes away
