The Kingham Plough re-opened, following extensive refurbishment, in August 2007, to wide critical acclaim. The quintessential Cotswold Inn has an outstanding restaurant alongside the perfect Village Pub.
Upstairs, 7 boutique en-suite bedrooms have been created to the maximum of comfort. Situated on the Village Green in Kingham (proclaimed “England’s Favourite Village” by Country Life Magazine) the area has an abundance of attractions nearby.
The Bar
Whether you are relaxing with the papers by the fire or sunning in the garden, a Cotswold Lager and a bar snack are always popular. We offer a wide range of locally produced drinks from fruit juices and scrumpy to ales and wines and a daily changing bar snack menu. A well researched European wine list is also available.

The Bar is Open, All Day, EveryDay from 12.00 Mid-Day until Close. Bar Snacks Available from 12.00 pm until 9.30 pm
The Restaurant
Chef/ proprietor Emily Watkins changes the short menu daily to accommodate the abundant seasonal and local produce. Daily deliveries from local fruit farms, small holdings and game estates, as well as foraged fungi and sea vegetables all arrive to be transformed into fresh modern British dishes. Don’t be surprised if the menu at the end of the evening has somewhat evolved from the opening menu as dishes are replaced with even more seasonal produce!
Our A la Carte Menu is available for lunch from 12.00 pm until 1.45 pm and dinner is served from 7.00 pm until 8.45 pm from Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday Lunch is served from 12.00 mid-day until 2.30 pm.
On Sunday Evenings only Bar Snacks are Available.
Accommodation
The seven en-suite bedrooms are all newly refurbished, offering the best in quality and comfort. They provide a simple, tasteful elegance that is reflected throughout the Kingham Plough. Digital plasma televisions, wi-fi access, tea and coffee, homemade biscuits compliment these superb rooms.
Breakfast is served either in the dining room, or weather allowing on the terrace. A full English breakfast, fresh pastries, homemade jams and marmalade and muesli are all available.
Children and dogs are also welcome. Please ask when booking so we can make sure you have everything you need for your stay. |
